This website is dedicated to the men who served on USS Elmore (APA-42), an attack transport operating in the Pacific theater during World War II. The ship earned eight battle stars for her service which put her in the top tier of all attack transports. But the Elmore could not have accomplished her mission as well as she did without the professionalism and dedication of her crew. There are stories to be told about these men. We begin that narrative here least we forget what they accomplished for our country and for the world.
