What started out as an appreciation of a father's navy service during WWII became a dedication to the crew of his ship and, ultimately, a dedication to all American service members and veterans.

Elmore in 60 Seconds

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video clip may be worth a million. Here is a short video clip from the TV mini-series The Pacific. It shows a Higgins Boat loaded with Marines leaving the safety of its attack transport. As it heads for the landing beach, it is under enemy fire. Watch it and you will understand what Elmore was all about.
